INJURY REPORT
Erik Ersberg was sidelined for a second straight game on Tuesday night, allowing Jonathon Bernier to step in for his first career shutout.
Wild backup Josh Harding will have season-ending surgery on the torn labrum in his hip any day now. The Wild should be able to finish out their unsuccessful season without him.
Cam Barker’s injured ankle will keep him out of the lineup until next week. Barker missed a reunion with his old team on Wednesday night as the Wild lost 4-0 to the Blackhawks.
The New York Rangers are making a playoff push, and they could use their infamous agitator Sean Avery . He is listed as day-to-day with a knee injury, but should get back on the ice for the final week of the regular season.
Speaking of agitators, Daniel Carcillo was suspended by the NHL for two games after his cross-check on David Clarkson. He is eligible to return April 4th at Detroit.
High-priced Penguins Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar both missed Wednesday’s game vs. the Lightning. The Pens lacked some serious punch as they lost 2-0 to Tampa Bay.
